Meet the 2023 Musicians

James Aissen
James is 17 years old and lives in Clarksville, Iowa. He began playing the drums at an early age. In October 2016, James started taking piano lessons and hasn't stopped playing since. He found that he really enjoyed playing the piano & that it came easily. Along with piano, James currently plays the guitar, bass, drums, and organ.
James’ musical interests include Orchestral, Jazz, Progressive Rock, Contemporary, Pop, Classic Rock, Classical, and Hymns.
James' musical influences include Mannheim Steamroller, “Trans-Siberian Orchestra,” Yanni, Havasi, David Lanz, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, “Emerson, Lake & Palmer,” and Dream Theater.
James has been composing and notating his
own music since 2017, and has released several albums. He plays at a variety of public and private events, as well as at churches around the area.

Emily Ann Bauer
My name is Emily Bauer and I am a board-certified music therapist and performer from Omaha! My husband and his family is from Charles City so I am beyond excited to be playing at Art-A-Fest. Music fills my time professionally and personally so I am looking forward to sharing that music with all of you.


The Love Radishes
Jerry Lee Funk and Dan Linde, both Charles City graduates, founded the band between 2010-2011. Band members include Jerry Lee Funk on bass and vocals, Dan Linde on guitar and vocals, Tracey Mullen on guitar and vocals, and Dan Fairholm on drums and vocals. The band has performed in the Charles City July 4th parade in years past. They've
also performed at the Eagles Cancer Telethon on KTTC TV in Rochester, Minnesota almost every year since forming to help raise money for cancer research. The band plays a mix of 60's-90's rock music as well as original compositions.
