Christine Burns
Christine Burns is a familiar face around anything musical in her hometown of Charles City. Although her day job is working in Quality Assurance / Document Control at Zoetis, she remains actively involved in local music including being a member the worship team at her church (The Bridge), Charles City Singers, Stony Point Players, Charles City High School, as well as playing for weddings and a variety of other events that she can't seem to say no to!
Emily Ann Bauer
My name is Emily Bauer and I am a board-certified music therapist and performer from Omaha! My husband and his family is from Charles City so I am beyond excited to be playing at Art-A-Fest. Music fills my time professionally and personally so I am looking forward to sharing that music with all of you.
Jazz Duo, Greg Deitrick & Sam Crosser
Greg Deitrick is a trumpet and flugelhorn player and has been playing since he was about 10 years old. He grew up In Evansdale Iowa and attended East Waterloo High. In 1986 he went into the service. After 8 1/2 years in the Navy, he settled In San Diego, playing with different Salsa and jazz bands. In 2003, he decided to move back to Iowa, and has continued to pursue music, playing with various groups but mostly with the Cedar Valley Big Band. in addition, he enjoys playing as a solo performer and with his jazz duo and trio groups. Influences are Freddie Hubbard, Arturo Sandoval, and Chet Baker, just to name a few.
Sam Crosser of Osage, Iowa, comes from a family of musicians. Sam currently plays with the local bands Nova Jazz, Island Fever, and Melissa & Sam. With his upbeat personality, Sam is a sought after solo artist, popular with his audience for his repertoire of jazz, rock, and gospel. Sam is available for special occasions, or just plan having fun!
