I leave these ceramic bars unglazed and fire them to 2340º F in my gas fired kiln. Then I add the 22K gold splash and fire them again to a lower temperature. The gold takes on the qualities of the surface it is on, thus the gold is matte and not glossy. The middle rectangle measures about 3/4" by 1/4" wide and a 1/8" deep. The two smaller rectangles measure 5/8" by 3/16". They are strung on a delicate 16" chain, 14K gold filled and nickel free, as are the jump rings and clasp.
