All submitted designs will be displayed here on our website during the month of August, and in our information booth during Art-a-Fest where you can cast your vote. Whichever design gets the most votes during Art-a-Fest will be our next logo!
Titled "CC Art Everywhere" the logo was inspired by the Charles Theatre, its history & the great lines/flow of the marquee signage. It is the perfect backdrop for Art-a-Fest's ongoing celebration of culture, tradition, & artistry. The logo itself is symbolic of Charles City's past, present & future from the retro visual, to the modern, yet simple color palette. It's meant to elicit fond memories, creative expression, & to simply make one smile.
I love bright colors in a T-shirt that I myself would like to wear.
My logo takes inspiration from state postcards, as they give illustrative and detailed snapshots of the state chosen. I wanted this logo to represent Charles City and showcase the city’s rich culture and structures. A is the pedestrian bridge, R is the Charles City theatre, and T is the public library which is not only a beautiful building, but is also home to the Art Center.
